Founder Susanne Dillingham may be small in size but her love of food, wine and farming is tremendous!

At The Tiny Chef, we are dedicated to teaching those with a passion for learning how to prepare beautiful meals using sustainable and practical techniques while supporting local North Carolina farmers.

From cooking classes for all ages to wine education for adults, let Chef Susanne teach you the joys of creating your own culinary masterpieces your friends and family will talk about for weeks to come.

3rd Annual ‘Soil to Soul’ Farm Dinner
at Windy Hill Farm
July 13, 2013

**Rain Date is July 14, 2013** 

Come and join us for a lovely evening on the farm for the 3rd Annual 'Soil to Soul' Farm Dinner!  

The dinner will consist of 6 courses and each course will highlight protein from Windy Hill Farm or Produce from Coldwater Creek Farm.  

All of the produce and ingredients for the dinner will be sourced from local farmers and producers.  
Dinner will be prepared for you by Chef Craig Barbour owner of Roots Farm Food and Chef Susanne Dillingham owner of The Tiny Chef.  
Beer and wine will be served with the meal and will be from local 
North Carolina wineries and breweries.

Menu

Walking Tour of the Farm begins at 6:00pm

Passed Appetizers from 6:30PM to 7:30PM



‘Windy Hill Farm’s Grass Fed Beef Gratin’ on Grilled freshly baked Bread
with Berry-Pickled Port Onions and Garlic Chives

Grilled Peach Gazpacho with Windy Hill Orchard Peach Cider, Summer Melon, Micro Celery, and Mint

Fried Pickled Watermelon Rind with Basil Compote and Dainty Summer Blossoms


The Dinner Courses will be served Family Style from 7:30PM to 9PM

Amuse

Fresh and Colorful Heirloom Tomato Stack with layers of Purple Basil and Pecan Pesto


Greens 
A composition of Local Greenery gently tossed with Crisp Veggies and a Wild Flower Herb Vinaigrette 


Entrée
‘La Porchetta’
Moonshine Basted Whole Roasted Hog wrapped in Pancetta and stuffed with pink peppercorns, garlic, and wild fennel served over a Sweet Pea and Silver Queen Corn Succotash

 
‘Il sogno della mia estate’
‘My summer dream’


Layers of fresh egg and flour pasta, kneaded, rolled, and cut by hand with fresh oven roasted summer veggies, handmade local cheeses, and a goat’s milk béchamel sauce


Finale
 
Moist and Delicate Melon Cake topped with Fresh Berries, Lemon Balm, and drizzled with local Honey

The price for the dinner is $75.00 per person if paid by cash or check and $80.00 per person if paid by credit card.  Please RSVP by purchasing your tickets in advance from Roots Farm Food, Windy Hill Farm, or The Tiny Chef by Monday July 8th.  You may purchase your tickets ONLINE below through Paypal, but please note that the tickets purchased online will be $80.00 per ticket since the payment will be made with credit card.  Please email The Tiny Chef for information on how to purchase tickets by check or cash at susanne@thetinychef.biz .



Dress is casual on the farm, be comfortable and get ready to have some fun!
We will not be able to accommodate any special dietary needs as the menu is fixed and served family style, we are so sorry for any inconvenience.
